Nutrición + Emociones = Equilibrio

Una de estas tardes, mientras hacía zapping por los canales de televisión, me encontré con esta película, la cual había visto hace años y en ningún momento la entendí. La película era Como agua para chocolate, que es la adaptación cinematográfica de la novela rosa de la escritora Laura Esquivel.

La película trata sobre una joven llamada Tita que es la menor de tres hermanas y por tradición tiene por deber cuidar a sus padres y además es la cocinera designada. Tita, la protagonista, hace una conexión fantástica entre la cocina tradicional mexicana y la trasmisión de sus sentimientos por medio de la comida. Quedé tan interesado en este tema de la alimentación más emociones, que me puse a investigar y me encontré con este tema muy interesante llamado la Nutrición Emotiva.

Nutrición emotiva es un concepto en principio novedoso y de gran importancia para nuestro bienestar global. Cuando hablamos de nutrición emotiva nos referimos al análisis de la relación existente entre la  alimentación y nuestros sentimientos.

Se trata de una conexión real que cada vez tiene más peso a la hora de establecer unas pautas saludables y unos hábitos de vida equilibrados. Un aspecto que los nutricionistas y más aún los nutricionistas que saben de coaching,  tienen muy en cuenta en las dietas personalizadas, la comprensión de los distintos trastornos alimenticios que ayudan a corregir y mejorar. Y es que el estado de ánimo es un fiel reflejo de los sentimientos que experimentamos en diferentes momentos de nuestra vida, unas emociones que influyen de forma muy directa en nuestra conducta alimentaria.

La nutrición emotiva se asienta en dos principios esenciales. Por una parte, el humor y los cambios que experimentamos tienen una relación directa con nuestros hábitos alimentarios y viceversa, es  decir que la alimentación también influye en nuestro estado de ánimo.

Por tanto, nuestro equilibrio emocional pesa mucho a la hora de llevar una vida sana, con una correcta alimentación que nos aporte bienestar y nos ayude a encontrarnos bien. Este equilibrio es el que favorece hábitos alimentarios saludables y enriquecedores.

A su vez, precisamente, llevar un equilibrio nutritivo previene los ritmos de alimentación disfuncionales y nos hace sentir mejor con nosotros mismos. Una persona que emocionalmente está centrada posee una fuerza interior mayor para mantener unos hábitos nutricionales de máxima eficacia y hacer frente a imprevistos. Desde el punto de vista de la alimentación, está comprobado, que si realizamos una selección inadecuada de alimentos, esta repercute en nuestro estado emocional y humor.

De hecho, en muchas ocasiones cuando los ritmos de alimentación disfuncionales son crónicos ocultan alteraciones del temperamento y reflejan tensiones emocionales que se encuentran sin resolver.

Sin embargo, con ayuda de un nutricionista y expertos en áreas como la psicología se consigue un ritmo de alimentación nutritiva adecuado, acorde a las necesidades personales de cada uno, se previenen los cambios de humor negativos y se favorecen las actitudes positivas. Por tanto, el equilibrio nutricional depende del equilibrio emocional.

De ahí que el objetivo que centra la nutrición emotiva sea conseguir una nutrición positiva para el cerebro y el sistema nervioso mediante alimentos inteligentes. Una vía directa al equilibrio emocional.

Nutrición emotiva es encontrar pautas positivas de alimentación que mantengan el equilibrio químico corporal y emocional. Se trata de establecer una serie de nutrientes que estimulen nuestro sistema y el organismo para que el cuerpo pueda evitar virus y afecciones y regular los propios sistemas neuroquímicos y neuroglandulares (hormonas, glándulas principales, neurotransmisores y sistema nervioso).

Un ritmo de alimentación equilibrado ayuda a la regeneración interna y hace posible que el cuerpo cada vez esté más sano, con más fuerza y vitalidad. Además, otorga la posibilidad de prevenir los cambios de humor. Por tanto, no olvides que una buena alimentación te hará tener una vida más feliz y equilibrada.
