En el evento Rionegro Ciudad Exponencial Competitiva realizado el 30 de noviembre del 2017, se presentaron las nuevas tendencias y tecnologías exponenciales, disruptivas y virales que ya se extendían en el mundo, con el objetivo de proyectar su crecimiento, alcance y expansión. Organizado por la Alcaldía del Municipio Rionegro, en Antioquia (Colombia), contó con la presencia de líderes empresariales de la región, con la expectativa de conocer las nuevas tendencias que marcarían el futuro del desarrollo económico y social global.
En esta cita participaron Salim Ismail, cofundador de Fastrack Institute; Kent Langley, profesor de Singularity University; César Castro, experto en organizaciones exponenciales y tecnologías aceleradas como IoT y blockchain y Rodrigo Arboleda, cofundador y presidente de Fastrack Institute.

Todas las ponencias coincidían en afirmar que vivíamos un momento histórico y emocionante para toda la humanidad. Las nuevas tecnologías disrumpiendo, transformando y cambiando nuestro mundo todos los días. Una invitación permanente a aventurarnos más allá de los límites de nuestro planeta, conectarnos y colaborar de formas sin precedentes, reinventar por completo cómo operan nuestras empresas e instituciones y cómo vivimos nuestra vida cotidiana.
Cada conferencia se paseó por los aceleradores tecnológicos en todas las áreas del desarrollo humano: Inteligencia Artificial, Robótica, Biotecnología, Nanotecnología, Medicina Virtual, Neurociencias, Energías Alternativas, Internet de las cosas, Teletrabajo, Aprendizajes Virtuales, Algoritmos. Una transición acelerada que podría generar grandes beneficios, ventajas estratégicas, disminución de costos, pero también quiebres sociales, culturales y emocionales, en una sociedad que no estaba preparada para el cambio. Trascender, de una vida local y real, hacia una vida exponencial y de disrupción global.
Quién diría que tres años después de este encuentro un microscópico virus sería el principal acelerador de este proceso, que las estrategias de adaptación social para minimizar su impacto serían insuficientes, ante la urgencia planetaria por la pandemia. Quién hubiese podido prever que las proyecciones de cambio no serían de 5, 10 o 15 años, que todo ocurriría en menos de tres años.
Un año después de la llegada del Covid-19, apenas nos recuperamos del impacto del tsunami. Miramos hacia el horizonte del 2021, con prudencia y cautela, con inquietudes y expectativas, con esperanza y temor. El bucle tecnológico, generador de paradigmas, dio su giro, a toda velocidad, sin frenos, sin oportunidad de prepararnos. La nueva dinámica deja su secuela: malestar, mareo y negación. Muchos quieren bajarse del barco, pero eso ya es imposible. La clave está en la adaptación, el aprendizaje, vaciar la mochila de todo aquello que ya no es necesario, incorporando nuevos conocimientos, capacidades y habilidades. Aprender y desaprender.
Se impone un nuevo modelo educativo emergente y urgente. Una Educación 4.0, que responda a las exigencias de la Cuarta Revolución Industrial, que permita incorporar los aceleradores tecnológicos, sin dejar a un lado los aceleradores culturales: agilidad, resiliencia, flexibilidad, pensamiento crítico, creatividad, trabajo colaborativo, inteligencia emocional y social, entre otras. Un nuevo modelo educativo que se cuestione y se adapte a las nuevas realidades y escenarios.
Entonces, ¿Qué debemos aprender? Nuevas capacidades, humanas y tecnológicas, nuevas formas de aprendizaje, identificar talentos, cualidades y pasión, para trabajar sobre eso. Menos estandarización y más “hecho a la medida”, ajustando los modelos de aprendizaje a los requerimientos, competencias y sueños. Sistemas adaptativos, autogestionables, que detecten sus anomalías, que corrijan la ruta, con aprendizaje sistémico y propósito, un acto creativo que nos permita construir una nueva ciudadanía global.
Un nuevo paradigma educativo que promueva el desarrollo de un liderazgo ciudadano integral e inspirador, un líder informado, crítico, consciente de su identidad. Fortaleciendo redes ciudadanas (más allá de las redes sociales) y un diálogo de saberes, polifónico y diverso. Una educación fértil, que propicie el semillero de líderes que exigen los nuevos tiempos.
Activar el nuevo paradigma, el Pensamiento 4.0, utilizando una nueva Caja de Herramientas, con enfoque bimodal, foco estratégico y propósito claro, incorporando la tecnología, sin perder de vista el bienestar integral de cada ser humano. Un gran reto, un sueño posible y necesario, al cual nos sumamos con toda nuestra experiencia y conocimientos, para acompañar estos procesos de cambio y transformación.
