Casi todas al unísono levantan la cabeza de la pieza y la vuelven a colocar, cambiándola de posición, en una danza de manos y piezas de costura que suben y bajan, mientras las agujas igualmente suben y bajan y los descalzos pies suben y bajan del pedal y las cabezas suben y bajan de la vida.

En Bangladesh, a las cuatro y cincuenta y cinco de la mañana, Salma y su bebé están llegando al taller. Mientras tanto la que escribe, la que escribe esta historia está aquí al lado de su máquina mirándolas, pensando en las afinidades y en ese hilo infinito e invisible, que en todas las edades y en todos los tiempos nos sirve a las mujeres para unirnos, mirarnos y decirnos que somos las mismas desde diferentes máquinas o destinos, tiempos y modos de coser.
